Prevent Cancer Foundation Promotes Colon Cancer Awareness Month

From Suzanne Dixon, MPH, RD, About.com Guide   March 8, 2010

In honor of March being Colon Cancer Awareness Month, the Prevent Cancer Foundation is kicking off a tour of their Cancer Super Colon educational program.

This innovative program uses a large model of the colon to raise awareness of colon cancer and educate people about colon health. People can literally "tour the colon", by walking through the life-size, medically accurate colon model.

Nearly two dozen Super Colon educational events are taking place throughout the US from now through October 2010. The tour is showing up all across the country, from California, to South Dakota, Texas, Florida, Michigan, and places in between.

Visit the Prevent Cancer Foundation Super Colon Website to find an event near you and for more information.
