Donna Myers

Donna Myers, About.com's Guide to Colon Cancer, was diagnosed with a giant cell tumor at age 16 and has more than 17 years of personal experience dealing with the physical and emotional effects that accompany tumor diagnoses, their treatment, and the possibility of recurrence.

Her tumor experience strengthened Donna's interest in learning about cancer and helping people cope with and prevent the disease. She has been researching the topic both formally and informally since 1991.

Donna holds a master's degree in writing from Johns Hopkins University and a bachelor's degree in biology from Towson University, with concentrations in pre-medicine and anatomy & physiology.
