Why Seek a Cancer Support Group Online?

Even though most cancer care centers have excellent cancer support groups, some people prefer an online cancer support group. For some, the format of a large group of people, most of whom are strangers, can be overwhelming.

In these cases, an online cancer support group or "cancer buddy" might be a good option. The following list is not intended to be comprehensive. It is designed to provide a starting point for people who are interested in online support options.

The Association of Cancer Online Resources is an excellent place to find additional online resources about cancer, including mailing lists, message boards, and online cancer support groups.
