Summary for the Week

This week's research brought us more news about Avastin (bevacizumab), reinforcing the drug's ability to slow the growth of colon cancer. Studies also determined that certain aspects of our diet may not influence colon cancer risk as much as other research has suggested. One study examined the effect of carotenoids (i.e., lycopene and beta-carotene) and the other explored the impact of what are commonly known as bad carbs.
