Colorectal cancer survival rates vary, but these statistics will give you a general idea of colorectal cancer survival rates for people who live in Australia. The five-year survival rate represents the percentage of patients alive five years after their initial diagnosis of colon or rectal cancer.

Five-Year Survival Statistics:

  • Duke's A / Stage 1 Colorectal Cancer: 90%
  • Duke's B / Stage 2 Colorectal Cancer: 87%
  • Duke's C / Stage 3 Colorectal Cancer: 57%
These colorectal cancer survival statistics were derived from a study published in the ANZ Journal of Surgery. The researchers determined that while age and gender had little to do with survival, stage at diagnosis had a significant impact.
