Question: Are there food or drug interactions associated with leucovorin?
Answer: There are no known food interactions, but there are some drug interactions. Leucovorin can decrease the effectiveness of anti-seizure medicines such as phenobarbital, phenytoin, and primidone. It may also decrease the effectiveness of two antibiotics: Trimethoprim (Bactrim) and Cotrimoxozole (Septra).
