Question: What are the side effects of leucovorin?
Answer: On its own, leucovorin probably wouldn't cause any side effects. But since it makes 5-fluorouracil more powerful, adding it to a chemotherapy regimen can sometimes result in more side effects than 5-fluorouracil alone. Some of these side effects may include diarrhea, lightheadedness, sores in the mouth or throat, vomiting, and itchiness.
