Definition:

Erbitux is the brand name for cetuximab, which targets a type of protein (EGFR) present on the surface of colorectal cancer cells. Ultimately, Erbitux interferes with the growth of these cells and causes them to die. The drug is used by patients whose cancer has spread to other organs.
