Clinical trials have pros and cons. For some people with cancer, clinical trials offer access to new, cutting edge treatments that may not be available through other routes. For other people, existing treatments may offer an excellent chance of curing their cancer. In these cases, risks of a clinical trial may outweigh (but not always!) its benefits. Talk to your doctor and learn about the risks and benefits of any clinical trial you are considering.
