About Mitch:

Mitch is a 51-year-old blue collar worker from Las Vegas, Nevada. In August of 2005, he found blood in his stool and made an appointment with his doctor, who ordered a colon cancer screening test.

About Mitch's Screening Test:

Mitch had a colonoscopy. A man of few words, he described the test as "okay". The colonoscopy cost $1,800 but Mitch's local HMO covered the entire cost.

Results of Mitch's Colonoscopy:

Turns out Mitch's fast action saved his life. The colonoscopy found cancer in his sigmoid, the lowest part of the colon.

Thoughts from Mitch about his Colonoscopy:

I told my doctor right away about the blood in my stool. I had very successful surgery for the colon cancer. If I would've neglected it, it would've been fatal.
